Verizon and In The Know: Catch up with Jahkil Jackson as he makes a difference in his community
Across the country, amazing kids are proving you don’t have to be a grown-up to step up. Care package-creators. Face-shield makers. Even art auctioneers. They’re what we like to call Pint-Sized Heroes. Together, we can all honor these amazing kids and the great work they do. We’re inspired to step up and make an impact in the communities we serve. We hope you’ll be inspired to contribute in ways big, small, or pint-sized, too.
During the pandemic, 12-year-old Jahkil Jackson and 7-year-old Cavanaugh Bell are delivering essential supplies and food to senior citizens in their communities. And they recently joined forces.
Who is #JahkilJackson? The Amazing Philanthropist and CEO
When Jahkil was just 5 years old, he helped his aunt distribute food to individuals dealing with homelessness, and from then on, he knew that he wanted to do more to make a difference. So at age 8, Jahkil started Project I Am to help the homeless in Chicago, and he continues to have a heartfelt desire to help those in need.
