Project Kares
Mini activists, Jahkil Jackson, creator of Project I Am, a movement that offers ‘blessing bags’ to the homeless community, and 11-year-old, Khloe Thompson, creator of Khloe Kares, an organization founded to also serve those suffering from homeless through the making and distribution of handmade ‘Khloe’s Kare Bags’ teamed up and embarked on a national service tour and galvanized other youth to become involved in their communities. Khloe and Jahkil covered more than 4,000 miles across the U.S. and hosted youth-driven community service projects and leadership workshops to inspire those within the various cities to inspire and give-back - they distributed blessing bags and kare bags to homeless individuals in cities such as Los Angeles, Vegas, Atlanta, New York, Washington D.C, Chicago, amongst other cities in the U.S.
With support from DTLR, YOOBI, Motivated Productions, TrueStar Jr., PowerCrunch and other donations, Khloe and Jahkil were able to serve, galvanize, and empower youth across the nation to dream big and let them know that no dream is too big, regardless of your age. “You TOO can make an impact!”
Khloe and Jahkil met up with some of their friends along the way and encouraged them to also give-back to their communities such as, Actor, Lonnie Chavis; Actress and Activist, Monique Coleman; Actress Donshea Hopkins, and young recording artist, Street Bud. During their East Coast stretch, they met up with DoSomething.org, Boys & Girls Club, Nicholas House, amongst other organizations and talked to them about their on-the-road experience and future plans.
